Vibrant Winter Wedding at The Springs Rockwall

Every girl wants a dreamy, surprise proposal story and Sarah got one that checks off all the boxes! Back in May, Derek took Sarah out for ice cream. It was casual and seemed so unplanned to her. He had been craving Cold Stone, which we don’t blame him for, and took her and her niece out for a good time. He was just an amazing guy like that, always thinking of how he could bless others.

There they got ice cream and walked around a nearby lake soaking in the glistening water and the warm Spring wind. Naturally, she thought nothing of it when he ran back to the car to grab something. She had no idea that the day would be momentously different than any other day. He came back with a small red gift bag saying “oh, just a little something I got you since it was a difficult week.” Clearly, the man is a good one!

What was funny is she didn’t even touch it, not until he brought it up again. She dug around inside shifting through tissue paper until a ring popped out and right into her palm… It was a perfect moment she hadn’t been expecting! Derek had pulled off the most amazing surprise and it overwhelmed Sarah with joy, excitement, and thankfulness that he had chosen her.

That same level of thoughtful, laid-back attention went into their wedding day too. They planned every detail beautifully, and it couldn’t have been a more gorgeous winter day at The Springs Poetry Hall! They pulled together an amazing vendor team including our favorite wedding planner and florist, Ella Grey Events. Just wait until you see their dreamy outdoor ceremony!!

Sarah and Derek are two vibrant, kind souls who had an incredibly fun wedding day! It reflected every bit of the love they share for one another and the joy they bring to the world! The people they invited shared those same amazing qualities, which spoke volumes about who they are. Their bridal party and families were fun and just so excited to love on them!

We’re so thankful for their trust in us, and how they allowed us to document their day. It’s a huge honor to us that we got to step into a little bit of their love story! Both of them have so many good things ahead in their lives and marriage. God truly has something big in store for them!
