Intimate Fall Wedding at The Grand Ivory

We have never witnessed a more perfect representation of two families coming together as one, before this wedding day. Caroline and Michael’s fall wedding at The Grand Ivory in Leonard, Texas was nothing short of charming and sophisticated. This luxurious wedding venue located north of the hustle and bustle of Dallas is complete with the most gorgeous natural light spaces. Give us the all-white spaces with lots of natural light, and we are the happiest photographers out there.

Caroline and Michael met at Texas A&M’s Impact Retreat, their first year attending school there. Both of them come from a strong foundation of what marriage is to look like, with both of their parents being married 28 and 29 years. What is even more special is that the officiant who married Caroline and Michael was the same person to marry Michael’s parents all of those years ago. Both of these families took a moment to pray together over Caroline and Michael during the ceremony, and you could feel the presence of the Lord in that moment. All I could think to myself during that moment is how I pray that when our own children find spouses, that this is what their wedding would like. A day to glorify the Lord for all that He has done. What a beautiful representation of the Gospel!

I have to say though, my favorite part of the ceremony was when the officiant had a surprise for Caroline and Michael. He pulled out a bag and inside of it was something that once was very dear to each of them! (Scroll through the photos to see!) For Michael he pulled out a Pooh bear that he kept with him when he was younger and for Caroline he pulled out her most sacred “blankie”. They were both so shocked to see them pulled him out but the illustration that was used for them was so beautiful.

The details and decor of this wedding day were unlike anything else. Seriously though, anytime Lindsey and her team at Ella Grey Events are apart of a wedding day, you know it is going to be something special. The thought and detail they put into every part of the day is insurmountable. She does everything from wedding planning, florals, designs, and styling. Everything you could need!!

We haven’t been able to stop thinking about just how sweet and welcoming these two families were to us. To really see what it looks like to love and serve others was so evident through this entire day and we know it is something that will mark Caroline and Michael’s marriage. What an honor to be apart of something so joyous and the most perfect way to end our 2019 wedding season!
