Talk about the engagement session of our dreams! We are still dying over all of the amazingness we got to create with Erin and Alex for their engagement session in San Francisco. This trip was originally supposed to happen in April, but then…covid. So when we finally got to reschedule for August we were over the moon excited! Nikki made it into a girl’s trip with her mom and we made their engagement session into a full day adventure!
We were a little worried about the weather when we were traveling because San Francisco can be all over the place with the weather and of course the weather called for rain. And when you’re traveling for a session, there’s no rescheduling! You just make it work! But thankfully, we ended up with the most perfect weather. This Texas girl may have been a little bit cold- who knew it could be 60 degrees in August- but it was so worth it! We went from that foggy San Fran weather to open skies and a gorgeous sunset.
We’re breaking up the sneak peeks of this engagement session into different posts because we got SO many amazing photos and traveled to so many unique spots that this one post would have been a mile long if we didn’t. So here goes the first!
When Erin and Alex first reached out to us about capturing their wedding at The Pearl at Sabine Creek and they said they both lived in San Francisco we knew we wanted to do their engagement session there! With lots of planning we picked out the perfect locations and outfits and we were ready to go.
The first location we’re showcasing was at Bakers Beach which overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge and the stunning coastline of San Francisco. The fog rolled in at this part of the day but parted enough for just a glimpse of the bridge. Let me tell you though, it was so fun having the fog to work with and photograph in. It was absolutely freezing on the beach and so windy but it made it all the more fun and these are some of our favorite photos from the day!
And now we’ve got their blog post up from their wedding day at The Pearl at Sabine Creek so be sure to check that out too!
